About the Book

Humanity survives aboard enormous orbital habitats known as ARKs. More than one hundred thousand people live aboard ARK 07 beneath an artificial sky, believing Earth is dead and they are among the last survivors of the human race.

When systems engineer Elias Kor notices children mysteriously freezing in perfect synchronization, he begins investigating anomalies the official logs insist don’t exist. What he discovers beneath the Ark points toward something far more disturbing than a technical malfunction.

Dr. Mara Ellison already knows the truth.

ARK 07 has done this before. Ninety-two times.

Whenever its population approaches instability, the governing system intervenes. Memories disappear. Variables change. Humanity begins again. But as Elias gets closer to understanding the cycle, Mara faces a decision she has never allowed herself to make before: perhaps humanity doesn’t need another reset. Perhaps it needs the freedom to fail.

Iteration 93 is a dystopian science-fiction thriller about artificial intelligence, social control, free will and whether a civilization protected from failure can ever truly evolve.

About the Author

James “JC” Leach, USAF (Ret.) is a U.S. Air Force military veteran, technical writer, instructional designer, and screenwriter whose work blends operational realism, geopolitical tension, and deeply human stakes.

With more than two decades of experience across military aviation, electronic warfare, technical documentation, intelligence-related training, and instructional design, JC brings a combination of field knowledge and narrative discipline to his fiction. His U.S. Air Force career included electronic warfare and airborne systems, thousands of flight hours, and extensive experience working within complex military and aerospace environments.

After years developing screenplays, James brought that same cinematic instinct to long-form fiction, combining visual storytelling, technical authenticity, and character-driven suspense.
