James “JC” Leach is a veteran technical writer, instructional designer, and former U.S. Air Force Airborne Systems Engineer with more than four decades of experience translating complex technical information into clear, practical documentation and training.
Following his military career, James built an extensive career supporting government agencies and Fortune 500 defense contractors, creating technical manuals, maintenance procedures, interactive courseware, simulation documentation, and instructor-led training for advanced aerospace, military, engineering, and industrial systems. His work has contributed to programs involving military aircraft, naval systems, power generation, engineering, and virtual training environments.
Throughout his career, James has developed thousands of pages of technical documentation, standard operating procedures, maintenance manuals, eLearning courses, and simulation guides using industry-standard authoring tools and instructional design methodologies. His passion has always been making highly technical subjects understandable, whether for engineers, technicians, maintainers, or new learners.
In recent years, James has expanded his passion for storytelling into fiction, transforming original screenplays into suspense novels while continuing to write technical content. His novels combine cinematic pacing with meticulous attention to detail, creating stories that are both emotionally compelling and technically authentic.
When he isn’t writing, James enjoys researching history, emerging technology, aviation, military operations, and engineering—subjects that frequently inspire both his fiction and nonfiction work.
Whether documenting a complex engineering process or crafting a psychological thriller, James believes every story—technical or fictional—should inform, engage, and leave a lasting impression.
