About the Book

Some wounds don’t disappear when childhood ends.

More than twenty years after bullying and tragedy changed their lives, a group of former friends reunites with memories that never faded—and a list of people they believe were never held accountable.

The bullies grew up. They built careers, families and lives. They assumed the past had stayed where they left it.

They were wrong.

As surveillance becomes planning and planning becomes action, the friends cross a line between justice and revenge that becomes increasingly impossible to uncross. Even among themselves, the question begins to fracture them: are they finally delivering justice—or becoming something worse than the people they came to punish? This screenplay adapation explicitly confronts that distinction: “This isn’t justice… It’s revenge.”

The Vindicants is a dark revenge thriller about bullying, guilt, loyalty and what happens when childhood victims finally acquire the power to fight back.

About the Author

James “JC” Leach, USAF (Ret.) is a U.S. Air Force military veteran, technical writer, instructional designer, and screenwriter whose work blends operational realism, geopolitical tension, and deeply human stakes.

With more than two decades of experience across military aviation, electronic warfare, technical documentation, intelligence-related training, and instructional design, JC brings a combination of field knowledge and narrative discipline to his fiction. His U.S. Air Force career included electronic warfare and airborne systems, thousands of flight hours, and extensive experience working within complex military and aerospace environments.

After years developing screenplays, James brought that same cinematic instinct to long-form fiction, combining visual storytelling, technical authenticity, and character-driven suspense.
